SAMAB's Annual Conference will be held on November 17-19, 2009 in Asheville, North Carolina at Crowne Plaza Resort Hotel.
The theme for this year's conference is “Climate Change in the Southern Appalachians,” and the keynote speaker will be Sam Pearsall (who recently joined the Environmental Defense Fund as the Southeast Regional Director for Land, Water and Wildlife; he was previously Director of Science for The Nature Conservancy’s North Carolina chapter). The title of Sam's talk will be:“Climate Disruption and the Southern Appalachians: Is Adaptation Possible?”
