Contributions to our biosphere region initiatives are made through the SAMAB Foundation or through volunteer opportunities. All contributions are used to advance sustainability practices in the Southern Appalachians and/or to support associated research, education, and outreach.

Partners have the opportunity to help set new sustainability and conservation initiatives for the Southern Appalachians through direct interaction with agency personnel, local officials, university researchers, and regional experts.

Internships are offered by the units of the Southern Appalachian Biosphere Region and our many partners.
